Wealth Management Advisor, Director of Financial Planning

Focus is needed to begin, maintain, and arrive at the proper path to financial independence. Our personalized process and incredible customer service allow us to get to know each of our clients and truly understand their ultimate goals. Only then can we make the appropriate recommendations and strategies for current and ongoing personal, family, and business needs.

My financial advisory career began upon graduating from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance in 2007. I also completed extensive post-graduate work in the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business Financial Planning Program. My background, continuous education, and training have afforded me the ability to help my clients better understand the advice we offer in the areas of investments, retirement planning, life insurance, disability income, and long-term care insurance.

Being from Savannah, it's natural that I enjoy boating, fishing, golf, and traveling. I served the greater Savannah area as President of the National Association of Insurance & Financial Advisors, as well as on our church board at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. My wife and I are currently enjoying the company of our first child, Sarah, now 2 years old. We all live with our 3-year-old black lab, Kitt, on Whitemarsh Island in Savannah, GA.

Robert S. McWilliams, Jr.

Wealth Management Advisor, Director of Investments & Finance

Knowledge is the key to a successful financial future. My background, experience, and commitment to providing you with the resources you need to make financial decisions can help make your financial future as successful as you need it to be. I hold the following designations: CRPS® (Chartered Retirement Plan Specialist) from the College for Financial Planning and FSCP™ (Financial Services Certified Professional) from The American College for Financial Services.

My investment experience began in 1984 as a researcher and developer of stock market and real estate investment portfolio disciplines for a pension investment firm. After 27 years of executive and investment experience managing specialized equity portfolios, I broadened my horizons to include other financial products to more fully meet the needs of today’s clients.

As CEO and Chief Investment Officer of my own investment advisory firm for 20 years, I served in most major positions of investment management, from researcher and developer of new investment strategies to portfolio implementation and administration. Client services were provided to individual investors, trusts, foundations, a family of limited partnerships, and an investment company I founded.

I graduated from Georgia Tech with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (BCE) and a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering (MSSE). I also completed extensive post-graduate work in Real Estate Finance at Georgia State University. The analytical skills I developed in these disciplines form the basis for the fresh perspectives I bring to my position as a wealth management advisor and financial advisor offering investments, life insurance, disability income, and long-term care insurance.

P90X and other fitness training, sporting clays, and cycling are some of the activities I enjoy for fitness and recreation. My civic activities include extensive volunteer work with executive tenure on the boards of non-profits and schools. Being an active member of several music ministries at my church is a priority for me. I served as president of my BNI chapter for business networking and referral, which was recognized with the BNI Founders Award as a top-performing chapter out of 9,000 chapters worldwide. I am honored to have been awarded the coveted Eagle Scout Badge. I reside in Savannah, GA, have three adult sons, and recently became a granddad.

“Wealth is largely the result of habit.” - John Jacob Astor. I believe that financial success is attainable by anyone through discipline and determination.

I graduated from Georgia Southern University in 2007 with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance. I immediately began my career as a Registered Representative at Wachovia Bank and spent the next 16 years as a bank-affiliated Financial Advisor in a number of hybrid roles at different institutions. As a result, I have extensive experience in banking and wealth management, serving my clients in many capacities, including banking, life and long-term care insurance, retirement planning, business succession planning, alternative investments, and portfolio construction and management.

My wife, Juli, and I are both originally from Albany, Georgia, but currently live in Statesboro. We are avid fans of everything outdoors, including fishing, hunting, golf, gem mining, and watching Georgia Southern football or Braves baseball. We strive to spend as much of our free time enjoying these activities with our son, Aultman, in tow. I also serve in several ministries at our church, Grace Community Church, and as the current President of the Bulloch Bass Club.
